Has vast experience in corneal surgeries including all types of  Corneal Transplant – Therapeutic keratoplasty, Penetrating keratoplasty, Patch grafts ,lamellar patch grafts etc.

 Trauma – Corneal and scleral perforating injuries  , Chemical injuries of cornea

Ocular surface surgeries – in Pterygium,  OSSN, Corneal degenerations

Corneal Tattoing

Corneal crosslinking  procedures etc.

Refractive surgeries –  Vast experience in excimer surface ablation procedures and bladeless lasik  surgeries..

Dr. Raja Sekhar completed his basic medical education (MBBS) from Kurnool medical college, followed by post-graduation (MS) in ophthalmology from OEU institute of ophthalmology, Kasturba medical college, Manipal (2002 – 05). 
 
He was awarded GOLD MEDAL and BEST OUTGOING STUDENT during postgraduation in 2005. 
 
He then completed 2 years of surgical vitreoretina fellowship(FVRS) from the prestigious Aravind Eye Hospital, Coimbatore under the able guidance of Dr. V. Narendran . 
 
He had successfully cleared two examinations of International Council of Ophthalmology (Fellow of ICO2006, 2007) and also has an additional postgraduate qualification from Diplomat of National Board – DNB (NewDelhi2009). 
 
After fellowship at Aravind eye hospital. he worked as consultant in retina department for three years, where he gained vast experience in all types of Vitreoretinal surgeries (including latest SUTURE LESS 23 Gauge & 25 gauge VITRECTOMY surgeries) and various laser procedures. 
 
In 2010, he joined the modern group of eye hospitals and has run the Retina department single handedly till 2020 for the past 10 years.
